Galloway, N.J. - 番茄社区app鈥檚 Kramer Hall has collaborated with Literacy Volunteers Association Cape-Atlantic (LVA) to offer English language skills instruction at the university鈥檚 Hammonton, N.J. location at no cost.

If the New Year finds you wanting to have an impact in your community, consider becoming a literacy volunteer. As the saying goes: 鈥淕ive the gift of literacy; it lasts a lifetime.鈥

An orientation session is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 17 where interested volunteers can stop by between 4 - 6 p.m. at Stockton鈥檚 Kramer Hall, 30 Front St. in Hammonton. Please RSVP to lvakmicale@comcast.net to reserve a seat.

The orientation will give volunteers a chance to meet Katherine Micale, LVA鈥檚 program director and learn about the group鈥檚 mission and how volunteer training will prepare one to work with adults who want to improve their reading, writing and English language skills.  Tutor training workshops consist of three-hour classes, held once a week for five weeks.

For orientation or registration information, or to help someone who is interested in receiving instruction in basic reading and writing skills, English as a second language, health literacy, financial literacy, citizenship, or workplace readiness, please call the LVA office in Pleasantville, N.J.  at 609-383-3377, or visit the website, .
