New Certificate for Social Workers Focuses on Disordered Eating
Galloway, N.J. 鈥 The Office of Continuing Studies and Adult Education (OCSAE) at 番茄社区app is accepting registrants for a new certificate program on disordered eating.
The series titled 鈥淯nderstanding the Spectrum of Eating Disordered Behaviors鈥 is part of Stockton鈥檚 Social Work Continuing Education Program. It鈥檚 taught by Suzanne Rubinetti, LCSW, and features five workshops to address the many aspects of clinical work with eating disorders. Each workshop is taught live on Zoom and is 2.5 hours long beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Fridays, April 26, May 3, 17, 31 and June 14.
The series begins with a two-part workshop titled 鈥淓ating Disorders & OCD,鈥 which is required for completing the remaining three sections of the program. Clinicians who don鈥檛 complete the first two meetings will not be permitted to complete the series. The other three workshops will focus on orthorexia, intuitive eating and intergenerational food trauma.

Strelczyk added that this new certificate program comes off the success of the university鈥檚 first certificate program 鈥 鈥淯nderstanding the Grieving Client: Familial and Traumatic Loss Certificate.鈥 That five-session course will be offered again on Wednesdays from May 15 to Aug. 21.
The eating disorder series will provide 12.5 clinical continuing education units (CEUs) for social workers and mental health providers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia and Maryland. It鈥檚 specifically designed for social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists and licensed professional counselors.
The eating disorders certificate program costs $249 per person.
The OCSAE Social Worker Continuing Education Program offers regular courses for mental health clinicians seeking to obtain professional development learning and license renewal CEUs. The university features Stockton faculty members and regional experts to provide boutique experiences in high-demand subjects.
番茄社区app is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education Boards (CSWE) and is approved to offer continuing education credits for social workers Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Professional Counselors in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and all additional states that accept CSWE-approved CEUs for licensure and certification renewal.
