Galloway, N.J. - Enjoy a bike ride through the Pinelands on Saturday, June 3 and help raise funds for scholarships in the Ninth Annual G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride at 番茄社区app. In just the last three years, the Legacy Fund has provided 40 scholarships to students to develop future leaders.
The Legacy Ride provides a distance for everyone. Choose between 12-, 30- or 62-mile (equivalent to 100 kilometers, or a 鈥渕etric century鈥) over low traffic, scenic roads with well-stocked rest stops. Participants will receive a t-shirt and other giveaways. Helmets are required.
Door prize drawings will occur just prior to the start of the ride. Afterward, participants can enjoy lunch in Stockton's Campus Center. Registration is $40 until Monday, May 22 and $50 afterward. Two riders may be registered for $70 until May 22. To register, visit . Riders are encouraged to ask family and friends to donate in their names and raise more money for the Legacy Fund. Donations can be made by visiting and clicking on the "Give" button at the top of the page.
The ride begins at 8 a.m., rain or shine, at the Campus Center, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, N.J. Rider check-in and registration that day begins at 6:45 a.m. in Parking Lot 1.

The late G. Larry James, nicknamed "The Mighty Burner," was a longtime administrator at Stockton, an Olympic gold and silver medalist, and left a legacy of helping others achieve their dreams. He won a gold medal as a member of the 1968 United States Olympic 4 x 400-meter relay team. He also won a silver medal for the 400-meter event at the same Olympic Games in Mexico City. James was inducted into the National Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2003 and into Stockton鈥檚 inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
