Keytruda 'Switch' Extends PFS in Advanced Bladder Cancer

CHICAGO -- Switch maintenance with the PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor pembrolizumab (Keytruda) led to improved progression-free survival (PFS) following first-line chemotherapy in metastatic urothelial carcinoma, a phase II trial found.

In this exclusive video from the American Society of Clinical Oncology's annual meeting, app spoke with investigator Matthew Galsky, MD, director of genitourinary medical oncology at the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai in New York City, about the study findings and whether this strategy could play a role in this treatment setting.
