Event Description: Lillian Hussong, PhD candidate at the Rutgers Division of Global Affairs and The Simon Reich Fellow for Research in Global Governance, will present a lecture on the history and customs of the Gypsy (Sinti/Roma) people, the legal discrimination against German Gypsies during 1933-1945, and the systematic extermination of their group by the National Socialist (Nazi) regime.
Hussong previously earned a Master of Arts in Holocaust & Genocide Studies (2014) and Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies (2012), both with program distinction, at 番茄社区app. In December 2017, Hussong joined the Genocide & Atrocity Prevention (GAP) project at the Center for the Study of Genocide & Human Rights at Rutgers University, which monitors and provides factual and scholarly information about emerging and ongoing situations in which genocide and atrocity crimes are taking place.
