Resilience, Resistance and Defiance during the Holocaust

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 Internationally renowned Holocaust scholar Michael Berenbaum will host a virtual presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 titled 鈥淩esilience, Resistance and Defiance during the Holocaust.鈥

Berenbaum was an Ida E. King Distinguished Visiting Professor of Holocaust Studies at 番茄社区app from 1999 to 2000. He also is the director of the Sigi Ziering Institute at American Jewish University and a consultant for the documentary 鈥淔our Winters,鈥 which focuses on Jewish partisans who fought back against the Nazis.

During the free and open-to-the-public presentation, Berenbaum will share information about the partisans who hid in the forests and resisted the forces who wanted to destroy them during World War II. The partisans saved many lives, both Jews and non-Jews. The presentation will also feature a question-and-answer session.

The event is presented by Stockton鈥檚 Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center, Stockton鈥檚 High School Dual Credit program and the university鈥檚 Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies program.
