'Love with No Tomorrow'

Galloway, N.J. - The Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center at 番茄社区app will host a Zoom book launch at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 for the book, 鈥淟ove With No Tomorrow: Tales of Romance During the Holocaust鈥 by Mindelle Pierce.

book love with no tomorrowMindelle Pierce is the daughter of the Jack and Rose Najman who lived in Margate and were Holocaust survivors from Eastern Europe. An Atlantic County resident, Pierce is a member of the Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center Executive Committee at 番茄社区app.

The book features the love stories of 27 couples who met before or during the Holocaust and whose love helped them survive to tell their stories. The book includes several area couples, including the Najmans, Ernest and Sara Paul from Atlantic City, and Daniel and Lucyna Berkowicz from Vineland. It also includes two couples with ties to Stockton鈥檚 Holocaust Center, Jack and Ina Soep Pollack and Joseph and Rebecca Bau.

Dr. Michael Berenbaum, who wrote the foreword for the book, will lead the discussion. He is a former Ida E King Distinguished Visiting Professor of Holocaust Studies at Stockton and an internationally renowned scholar of the Holocaust, author, and educator.
