Publishing in the 21st Century

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 Five authors will share their stories at the 鈥淧ublishing in the 21st Century鈥 Visiting Writers Lecture at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the 番茄社区app Campus Center Board of Trustees Room in Galloway..      

Maribel Garcia holds a Ph.D. and MA in Anthropology from U.T. Austin. The inspiration for her novel, 鈥淧rofound and Perfect Things鈥 comes from her own experiences as both a native of the South Texas Latino/a community and from her anthropological fieldwork studying Mexican American women living on the US/Mexico border.

Tom Kinsella, the Elizabeth and Samuel Levin director of Stockton's Alliance Heritage Center, teaches literature at Stockton and serves as director of the South Jersey Culture & History Center.

Jude Navas, a Stockton Alumni, is the author of 鈥淲hat鈥檚 The Fuss?鈥 a children鈥檚 book that focuses on inclusion, acceptance, and love.

Stephanie Cawley is the author of 鈥淢y Heart But Not My Heart,鈥 winner of the Slope Book Prize, and 鈥淎nimal Mineral,鈥 forthcoming from YesYes Books.

Malav Kanuga is an assistant professor of anthropology at Stockton and founding publisher and editor of Common Notions, an independent publishing house that explores the cultural and material histories, and collective imaginaries, of social and political movements.
