Spring A.C. Walking Tour Series

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 Actively experience the historical landmarks, events and subcultures of greater Atlantic City through the Spring Atlantic City Walking Tour Series coordinated by Stockton Continuing Studies from 10 a.m.- noon on four Sundays in March and April.
Guided tours led by Atlantic City Historian and Stockton Adjunct Professor Dr. Levi Fox will explore the 鈥淒ownbeach鈥 neighborhoods of Lower Chelsea, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. Participants should bring walking shoes and a water bottle, as each tour will cover between two to three miles of parks, city streets, and the boardwalk.
The Series schedule is:
Tour 1: March 29,Lower Chelsea: Starting in the historic Chelsea Neighborhood at the 番茄社区app John F. Scarpa Atlantic City Academic Building, 3711 Atlantic Ave., this tour will feature the Jewish Heritage of the neighborhood including a synagogue, a tailor shop, a union headquarters, and more. Parking is available in the parking garage at Atlantic Ave and Lincoln Place.
Tour 2: April 5, Ventnor: Starting from the end of the A.C. Boardwalk at Martindale Ave and the Beach, this tour will focus on the architectural heritage and history of Ventnor City, including homes in the historic Marven Gardens section. The tour will end at The Waterdog Smoked Fish, 7319 Ventnor Ave. Street parking around the starting or ending address is suggested.
Tour 3: April 19, Margate: Starting at Margate鈥檚 鈥淥ld City Hall,鈥 South Washington and Ventnor Avenues, this tour will move through much of downtown, emerging to see the mansions, churches, the famous 鈥淕old Coast鈥, and the history of Margate City. The tour will end at Barrels of Margate Jerome and Ventnor Ave. Street parking around the starting or ending address is suggested.
Tour 4: April 26, Longport: 鈥淭he Longport: Gazebos, Gardens and Elephant Tour,鈥 starts at the Longport Community Clubhouse/Beach Patrol 3003 Atlantic Ave, and features the history of Longport. See famous homes and gardens, visit local businesses, and hear Lucy the Elephant Stories. Tour ends at Lucy the Elephant, 9200 Atlantic Ave in Margate. Street parking around the starting or ending address is suggested.
