World War II Memoir

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 Stockton Adjunct Professor of Gerontology Gina Maguire will share her grandfather Nick Venturella鈥檚 life story from 1-2 p.m. Nov. 13 at 番茄社区app鈥檚 Kramer Hall, 30 Front St., in Hammonton. Venturella was a Greatest Generation member and World War II veteran who helped liberate a concentration camp during his time in the military.

During Venturella鈥檚 last years, he shared his past with Maguire, and entrusted her with his photos, souvenirs, and letters. Maguire compiled these materials into a memoir for Venturella 鈥  鈥淚t Was Fate: A War, A Massacre, A Romance; The World War II Memoir 鈥 which will be available for purchase at the event.

This event is free and open to the public as part of the Stockton Center on Successful Aging鈥檚 鈥淪econd Wednesdays鈥 program. Light refreshments will be provided.
